This studio is a great studio if you want to learn martial arts or starting out in martial arts. The owner and all the staff here are so nice and treat everybody the same with kindness and respect. The pricing is very reasonable and they even have a program for kids who want to learn Taekwondo! This is also a family business and has 2 other locations in Ojai and Camarillo. The Best Instructors! They really know how to work with kids whether it’s bad behavior, learning disabilities or just coordination, they really take the time to explain the what the why and do it effortlessly. In just a month my daughter has learned so much. She has more confidence and I look forward to seeing her strive in martial arts and I know she’ll do it here. We really like this place! I’ve found that in Taekwondo it’s all about the instructor(s). They make or break the experience. My son (6 years old) was a beginner when we came here. The instructors here are amazing. They are so positive, make it fun, but challenge the kids at the same time. The owner is very personable and genuinely cares about his students and their parents. My son loves going to TaeKwonDo Plus. He is high functioning autistic and needed some place to help him with discipline and Mike and his other instructors are great with him so far. He has never wanted to do anything except go here. His Elementary school has noticed a great difference so far with his behavior and following instructions. Mike teaches each kid the same, but treats them all as individuals. If something is not working he makes changes until he finds what is working. We started with his 4 weeks for $49 with the free uniform and are glad we did. We have already signed up for the monthly classes and even some private lessons to make sure my son catches up. Prices are the best I have found so far especially since you can go all 6 days if you want (closed Sunday) for the same price as going once or twice. – Eric Chandler, as reviewed on Google 2019
This is a great place! My child loves attending her lessons. She is learning self-control, self-respect, and some cool moves! The teachers are great and teach life lessons too.

Mr Cerminaro is an amazing instructor, as is his wife Lyn. Together they are a wonderful and supportive team. Our son Chris went through their school as a young boy, beginning in 1998 at 7 years old. He learned so very much about respect, earnest efforts, and self control. Sometimes joyful, sometimes an extreme challenge, always a wonder filled life lesson. Time flies, that young boy is now 24, and his time with Taekwondo + and The Cerminaros was an integral part of shaping him into the man he is today. Now it is 2016 and Chris’s little sisters, Lily & Ivy, are embarking on the same journey with Mr. Cerminaro as their guide 18 years later. Walking through those doors tonight brought back a million fine memories. An honor and a privilege to be on this path with you again Mike. Mr. Cerminero is the best instructor around. Not just on the art of Tae Kwon Do but in giving advise about life. Teaching respect, integrity, confidence and discipline to kids while training as well. He’s very mellow and funny. Kids enjoy his teaching. Honest and caring with his students. Sometimes I wish I could have his patience and wisdom, it would make parenthood so much easier.
As a location, it is conveniently located in the Victoria Von’s shopping center. Prices are great. The rest of his staff are friendly and nice too. All very respectful.

My 5 year old loves being in the Tiger Cub program at TKD Plus. Mr. Cerminaro is patient, fun, and a Tae Kwan Do master. Classes for Tiger Cubs are offered 4 times a week. On Fridays usually only a handful of students show up and receive lots of individual attention. I got the month pass to make sure my son liked it. In 2 years of participating in TAEKWONDO PLUS they almost always want to participate in the evening classes! Rarely do they resist. It’s a fun way to learn!
The 2 month testing that takes place is incredible for their confidence and the testing of their skills.
